Our client’s revenue growth had fallen short of target and a challenge was issued by the CEO: How much additional revenue could be coaxed from the existing worldwide media budget to supply the shortfall? To answer this we used PoleStar, our flagship optimization tool, to reallocate budget across the global media portfolio. We fused media response curves with relevant benchmarks from our internal ROI database and completed the analysis in one month, while our competitors would normally take six. The findings resulted in an 80% ROI improvement without spending any additional budget.

As a result of globalization and media convergence, consumers’ interaction with fashion brands has become more complex, with consumers researching and buying both online and offline. Our client needed to better understand this complex consumer journey to more effectively plan and invest in marketing globally. Combining traditional econometrics with digital attribution, we evaluated our client’s media performance across the USA, UK and APAC. The insights enabled us to optimize the media plan to identify significant incremental revenue opportunities of $6MM and resulted in a 35:1 project ROI.

We were tasked with helping our client set up an in-house marketing effectiveness analytical team.
